I tried to use a map capsule in recent article, but it says I opted out of that feature.  When I clicked the magnifying glass to look it up, it says I opted out of that too!  How do I find the settings that will allow me to opt back in??

It's in the cookies. If you log out of HP and then log back in, you should see a message regarding cookies. Make sure you select All.

Samantha left a note at the thread I started about this "opted out" issue. Appearantly it is  a site-wide issue and they are working on it.

I tried going into my browser settings and allowing cookies as well... no change.

I thought we were told (or suggested by HP) some months ago that Google doesn't like us using maps. So I removed all maps from my articles. Does anyone remember this?

HP suggested not to use them as much because they were being charged by Google to use them. Use Maps only when necessary.

So, would it be appropriate to use maps in a travel article, or should I not?

I seem to be having trouble uploading pictures today too.  It keeps saying that something went wrong.  Guess it's just not my day.  sad

This happens to me all the time when my internet connection is slow.

I used to have a few google map capsules in a hub, but then HP asked us to reduce them as much as possible. So what I did was the following: I took a screenshot of the map reworked it in my photo editing program and put it up as a photo. Problem solved.
