The rejection rate hass been 100% lately, as opposed to last couple of months where almost everything user to be accepted to the niche site in question.

All I am getting is a generic email in response, with no specific reason as to why my hubs aren't accepted.

I need to know if your experience is similar.

I had two accepted in December. They aren't doing too well, though.

Not sure if this is any help, but I did look up info on shows like Ozark the other day and saw your Hubpages article on the first page of Google. Are you getting traffic even when they are not being moved to a niche site?

        @DrMark
It depends what you search for.
shows like ozark hubpages - hclpd is top of my results
shows like ozark - hclpd doesn't appear in my results until the bottom of page 2.

        @ hclpd
Try emailing Reelrundown editors to see if they can be more specific about the reason for rejection. It may be something like there's just too much competition for the topics you've chosen.

No, I did not search for shows like ozark hubpages. I was just looking to see if there was an article about shows like ozark, and that is what I put into the search engine. It was on the front page yesterday, (may have been Sunday, not sure).

Ah.OK. I've heard somewhere that there's a "new article effect" which may explain it's high position yesterday.

I'm a novice when it comes to understanding how Google orders its search results, but I'm sure I remember someone like lobobrandon saying that new articles have a high position when first published. This is to allow Google time to assess relevance of contents to search requests, and how long readers spend on the page.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I can add to this thread and confirm or deny this theory.

I dont think anyone really knows how Google arranges its search results.
If that comment is true, and new articles do get a high position, it would indicate to me that it is better to delete an old poorly performing article and submit it as new, as opposed to just editing it.
I have about 50 of these waiting in the wings. Should I chop or edit once again? Any ideas?

I hope that's not true!  I've always operated under the assumption that it takes Google time to index new articles and figure out where to place them in the search so I try to write my articles 3 to 6 months before they become relevant which for me depends on the growing season.  If what you say is true, then my all of my new articles would be high in the search results at the wrong time.

Are there any Google experts out there that can clarify this issue?

Have you looked at the site lately?  It could be that you are being rejected because there are already articles on the topics you have written about.  Look at what's there and see if you can think of topics that aren't already covered or only covered lightly.  I would also email the editors and ask why they have been rejecting your articles.
