If you have had success getting heavy traffic from Twitter to your hubs, please could you share some tips on how you did it.

Twitter is not very helpful to hubs unless you have a massive following. Pinterest is better... but the best way of all is to have your topics and articles appear high up in search engine results.

Were you the enlightened soul who previously mentioned only celebrities get traffic from Twitter?

I strongly believe that's that case too. Celebrities, and politicians. Esp questionable politicians.

I think they teach that Twitter thing in politicians school nowadays. (Politicians do go to school, right?)

Most of my traffic does come through Google, but on rainy days when I feel like social media I post to Pinterest. Those pins are alive even years later.
Some people here also get decent results from Facebook. It is not as useless as twitter since it does not disappear in a few minutes, but even when one of my articles is put on FB the views fizzle out after a few days.
