Quick question,
I was asked to take out the whitespace between paragraphs before submitting to ToughNickel, but I've seen articles accepted on toughnickel that have white space between paragraphs (see attachment).
Can someone explain to me, why? I feel like large chunks of text is hard on the reader's eyes. hence, why I prefer to make the paragraphs 1.) more like actual paragraphs and 2.) easier to read.
Thank you.
HubPages is designed to leave the correct amount of white space between paragraphs. Just go with it.
GabriellaGelir, I think you might be misunderstanding the issue. When they ask you to remove extra white space between paragraphs, they are referring to multiple blank lines.
Of course you still want to break lengthy text into paragraphs. For that matter, it’s best to limit paragraphs to three sentences in most cases, for ease on reader's eyes as you mentioned.
Extra white space occurs when you have more than one blank line between paragraphs or at the end of text capsules.
Here is one of your articles showing too much white space. A normal amount is good, but this is too much.

As asked in title--I have seen it mentioned a few times, to avoid creating white space issues in a hub. I use white space for formatting purposes, to make an article look tidier. That's a no-no? or what?

All of my Hubs fluctuate between the 65 - 79 range with one or two that sometimes sneak in the 80 - 85. I'm just curious what it takes to get one or most of mine to stay about 80 or maybe even reach 90 +

Just tried to publish this hub: http://theraggededge.hubpages.com/hub/H … t-Portrait and there's a huge white space right in the middle. Have deleted capsule and reinserted but it still keeps appearing, so have unpublished. Thanks in advance.

In this thread: http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/59921pcunix and wilderness discuss creating whitespace as a method of making your article easier to read (which I've done with most of my hubs.) However, whitespace is briefly mentioned as having some sort of relationship with ads.Does adding white...
