The mystery of the Hub Score

    I've been here a long time, so I know the whole bit about how the score has little meaning. But I still look at the score and  wonder why I'm getting a high score on an article, not on another, etc. As many of you know, you can get little traffic on an article but high score on it. I'm thinking it must have to do with time on page and whatever interactions that occur. Again, though, those articles can have no comments and get a high score. Maybe it's Google crawling that makes the diff. Still not sure.

        This HubPages article may give hints Fetured Articles and Quality Assessment Process I realize it is about becoming featured, yet it tells about how the assessment is done and the score comes from that. Like I said maybe hints.

          I think I read that article before, but it's been awhile. Actually, it has a lot of useful info. I can see how it applies to scores on articles.

            What's weird is, the score keeps changing, even when the article hasn't been edited.

              Yeah, that is weird. I think traffic has something to do with it. Not so much volume of traffic but consistency maybe. I notice my articles that get consistent traffic over time have pretty good scores.
