I'm new here, though I was on Squidoo seven years ago. I've written my first hub and clicked 'Publish' three days ago. There is no sign of my hub being published. Indeed, looking at the hub, I can't even tell if it's being considered or pending - there's nothing to indicate that I ever clicked 'Publish'. So, please could you tell me how long hubbers normally have to wait after clicking 'Publish' to see their hub published. Many thanks.
Check here: https://hubpages.com/my/hubs/stats The far right column will indicate with a white H on a black circle that it is published. If it's showing an circular arrow, it's still pending.
Something clearly has gone wrong. On the far right of the article on your list of articles in "My Account", you should have had a swirly arrow thing indicating that the article was going through the review process; then, if it passed, it should have turned into a big H. At the bottom of that screen there is an explanation for all the icons.
It definitely doesn't take 3 days to review it. One to 2 days at the longest.
Welcome to HubPages, Kate
So there are three options
1. Have you double checked to ensure once your article was concluded, you selected to submit for QA in order to publish
2. I remember when first starting off, you are required to are required to write at least 5 articles, that need to pass through a bootcamp process.
My first few articles did take 2 to 3 days at a time, or in this time check your emails to see if your were updated on any changes that were required to your article.
Once you have passed on boot camp, we will be able to see your articles published.
3. When setting up your profile information, have you opted for your articles to be shown to all.
Can I just say a big 'thank you' to everyone. I did check my Stats again and there was still nothing showing to indicate that I had submitted the hub. So I went back into it to edit it again, and clicked on Publish. By the time I came out again to look at Stats, it had miraculously been published! Success. (I now have a Pending sign.) Again, many thanks, folks.
Just to add that today I see that my hub is now featured under 'How to Write'. Although this is my only published hub at HubPages, when I was with Squidoo seven years ago, I completed the boot camp there and had six articles published. I need to do some work on these articles before I can re-publish them at HubPages. But my six Squidoo articles must have counted (articles by Squidoo writers were transferred to HubPages when Squidoo closed), and so I've already graduated from the HubPages bootcamp! My featured hub is on fiction writing, if anyone's interested to take a look. Meanwhile, I'm beginning to explore the HubPages Community.
And a proper welcome to you, Kate. Happy writing, and feel free to ask us anything

Janderson posted something really important yesterday which I think everybody here needs to read http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/132621#post2759379.If he is correct in his assumptions (which it appears he might be), it is time for all of us to start making copies of all of our hubs (if we are...

The new layout explodes the prominence of the related hubs images down the right side of the page. This image appears before all the ads, apart from the Google adsense ad above the title. Related hubs get an absolutely free ride aboard all the articles that attract hits from search engines through...

I'm not trying to be disloyal to Hubpages - far from it - but I have a specific request about its competitors. I am currently writing an article for a professional newsletter aimed at my fellow librarians, a profession which is getting into a tiswas about its public image. I wish to encourage...

Is it better to write for HubPages or Squidoo?Recently, I've heard a lot about Squidoo being possibly better than HubPages in many aspects. Which do you think is better to write for if you're looking for traffic and earnings?

I have written 2 articles for my hubpage, and no matter what I do to improve it, it is never enough and it won't even get published on MY PERSONAL PAGE! HELP! I've done everything that they have suggested! I'm about to just say screw it, I've done everything that I can and now it's become a waste...
