    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article? What can I do to improve? Thanks!

      Hi there,

I think you could probably get this approved with a little work. Here are some ideas:

Use the free Grammarly site to help clear up some minor grammatical errors.

Read the text out loud to pick up some awkward phrasing, such as, "Non-maintenance of digital minimalism will severely hamper your mental as well as physical health in the long run." Digital minimalism? That's the same as saying, "Overuse of devices will damage your mental and physical health." Keep your writing simple and straightforward.

Watch out for too much repetition.

Place links to your references at the end of the piece. All your claims should be backed up by scientific and academic evidence. For instance, link to the Leeds study that you quote.

This also, "And if you won't take strict actions or change your habits against the increasing usage or addiction of tech, the humankind will be put at risk." You need to cite the evidence.

That will do for now. There's quite a lot of work to be getting on with. Remember that this kind of article *must* be based on factual research.

      Good luck.

Hello, thank you for replying to my post.

Yes, I'm extensively using Grammarly to correct all the grammatical errors and improve readability. But I'll go through it again.

You're absolutely right, mam. It seems really awkward by reading. And I'll definitely rephrase it in another way.

Okay. I'll collect and mention all the relevant references in the article. And the next time I publish any scientific or academic articles, I'll always cite the sources and will not try to write sentences in this way. I understand it's important to name the sources and prove the evidence as it can affect many people.

Sure, I'll go through my article and work on these edits, apart from rephrasing and re-writing it straightforwardly.

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback. It means a lot.

The raggededge gives excellent advice. I notice that you have illustrations midway through your text. My experience has been that editors prefer illustrations to come above or below text capsules, rather than in the middle.
You have helpfully numbered your points. If you do an index at the top, it will act as a helpful summary and readers will also be able to scroll down to points of particular interest.
Don't be disheartened. Perseverance pays off with the QAP process. We've all been there before. You will get there too.

You're absolutely right Eurofile. She really make me understand about the possible mistakes and improvements that can be done to transform this article into a better quality one.

Due to time shortage, I haven't gone through my article yet. But I'll surely make all the required changes within a day or two. I really appreciate her response on my post.

And thanks to you too as well for going through my article and suggesting improvements. I also want to thank you for sharing your personal experience of publishing articles on this platform.

I'll definitely look after and change the position of illustrations and pictures either at the end or the beginning of a text.

Secondly, I'm sure that creating an index in the beginning of this article will surely help readers to know what to expect in this long-form article. I'm sure it will also improve the overall format of the article.

And lastly, I'd like to thank you for noticing the possible errors and informing me about the same. You're right Eurofile. I'll never let my hard work and consistency go in vain.

Thank you again for your valuable response.
