How to feel inspired for writing?

I draw inspiration from the things around me and the things am passionate about. I also learnt that passion isn't enough to inspire you to write something, you need a tiny bit of knowledge about your topic.
Sometimes I just wake up with a feeling of writing about a certain issue, and sometimes I don't.

Two things that work well for me are long walks while letting my mind wander and gardening, especially weeding which is a classic mindless activity that also allows my mind to wander.

Inspriation usually strikes when I allow my brain to just be free to think about whatever it wants.

Get into the habit of writing every day whether you feel inspired or not.  It will become a habit and you become more productive

Read, practice, research, watch Youtube, etc etc. There are many ways to come up with topics to write about.

But personally, I think a real writer will never be short of topics. The real frustration will always be how to write it well, or how to write it better.

WHOA!  What is a "real writer"?  That sounds very elitist.

Well, a real writer is someone who just ... writes. And keeps writing, as well as learning, and understanding rules, editorial policies, etc.

This excludes those who indulge in the supposed glamour of writing. I.E.people who slather their bios with all sorts of wild accolades. BUT ... do not leave spaces after full stops.

You can draw inspiration from absolutely everything around you. Something you heard on the news, an article you read, a conversation you had, a walk in nature, etc. I agree with Al Stine though. You also need to do some research and expand your knowledge.

You can be inspired by simply taking a walk.  Maybe listening to music or watching a movie.
There are so many ways.  Listen to your inner voice.  What subject is popping up in your mind.  Then just start writing.
