Specifically text capsules. Can I leave a note for an editor in this box? (I've just had an article published on Hubpages. I want to suggest what niche site it ends up on)
Why don't you just submit it and choose a niche site? Unless you need to wait 14 days. Good question though, something only the staff can reply to. I'd like to know too.
An educated guess tells me they can, because I have had an editor hide some capsules in the past when they made custom images for a few hubs.
I could do that, but I didn't want to "use up" one of my submissions. I don't have any Hubpages hubs to submit, so I guess that's not an issue. I want to see whether they'll rename one of the sub-topics on Owlcation though, so I've posted a forum suggestion about this.
Hi eugbug, if you want to tell me the title and which site you'd like it to be in, I can pass your request on to the correct editor.
Thanks Samantha. I was hoping the Electrical Engineering sub-topic on Owlcation could be re-named to Electrical & Electronic Engineering because they are twin disciplines and it could be placed there. Maybe there's an issue with this as regards URLs? (just like the way we can't change our usernames). Alternatively could an Electronic Engineering sub-topic be added? (but if this is done, what about all the other engineering disciplines?). The problem is that there's no electronics topic on any of the niche sites.
The title is "How to Solder Electronic Components and Wires".
I passed on your suggestion, but we don't often do this. So in regards to the categories we have now, where do you want the article to go?
I guess "Electrical Engineering" on Owlcation. It'll be found from a search engine, so it probably doesn't make much difference. For anyone browsing the site though, it would be useful to have an electronics topic. There is a consumer electronics section on Turbofuture, but it's more for products, rather than electronics per se.
I agree, that would be useful. It does mess with the URL though, which is why we don't do it often.

Is there any difference in the way search engines view subtitles versus callouts? i.e. does using one make it more likely than the other for your article to rank well?

Well, I haven't had any problems with the edit bot correcting spelling and grammar, but the HubPro editors do nothing but remove amazon capsules. I haven't edited many of my Hubs since way before the Bot and HubPro was a thing - but since I had to update Hubs because of the removal of float right,...

I like to add ebay capsules under "what you may need" sections before posting step-by-step instructions, however, to add multiple types of products you must add multiple capsules. This makes the page look like a disjointed clutter of ads rather than a collection of ads that are relative...

When adding maps to a hub the first one is fine. However, if I add more than one map to a hub the second and subsequent maps don’t automatically refresh in edit mode.I’m not sure whether it’s a compatibility issue with the browser I use and HubPages e.g. Internet Explorer; and I don’t know if...

Can I just clarify how the Amazon flag works? When I use Amazon, I often use several capsules with only one product per capsule. I do that, because I want the product to align with the relevant text.I noticed the warning says something about calculating how many products COULD be displayed in...

Janderson just submitted some great suggestions on this thread:http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/126313#post2666393and I think this one deserves a suggestion post on its own. We're always being told to be discriminating with our Amazon capsules - less is more, they must be directly related, etc...
