Do you have any articles that used to have lots of organic traffic but now get only a few views? This is one of mine that used to do well on Turbofuture (about the use of binary in electronics and computers), but now gets less than 10 views per day.
Traffic to this was on average about 70 per day for a year and then up to 150 views per day for a few months. I think it was probably because it had a snippet for a while.
I think there was a small algo update somewhere because my WeHaveKids articles that were demolished in the SERPs last year are rebounding big time right now while my articles on some of the other niches aren't doing so well. Something shifted in the last week and it's not on my end (not something I did to attract or NOT attract traffic).
Are your traffic sources any different? I had a good surge about the same time and notice it is mostly from google android traffic.
I had one that was consistently on 400 views a day for 4-5 years before it dropped to under 10 a day. Some days I get red arrows when it hits 26 views. Yes, 26 to be specific Caloriebee, the entire website tanked after a certain Google update according to SEMrush stats.
My one article used to get more Google traffic than the entire site received until last month. But this month it seems to have a slight boost in traffic at approx 600 views a day.
It's a complicated area because there are so many factors at play right now. There's been a lot of shenanigans with the algo. But also, the virus has messed with the normal rhythm of things. Some of my Turbofuture stuff is typically used by students and they are not doing regular courses now.

I know views have been dismal after the mass move to Discover; however, my top articles were still seeing enough views to stick around, and I was averaging over 150 views total per day even after the move. It has been almost two weeks with views closer to zero than fifty. My top articles are not...

I’d like to start by explaining that my articles are all published to niche sites except one which is still pending consideration. I’ve edited and revamped these articles to death. I’ve waited for these changes to kick in despite that, less than 30 views per day on some that seem to perform on a...

My son said something to me that made me wonder if it explains why my traffic at HubPages is down around 60% year-over-year. He said he doesn't use search engines anymore and doesn't click on links to articles because ChatGPT serves him what he's looking for. Is AI reducing our traffic here at...

Who continues to edit and write here and notices an uptick or more in views, CPM or revenue?

Traffic has fallen to maybe 20% of what it was. Now I have loads of articles with zero daily views. Am I going to be penalised by HP and have them shifted to Discover, not because it's my fault, but because the sites are badly rated by Google now?

My top traffic article which used to get 2000 views per day for years has now dropped further down the rankings from its featured spot on Google and traffic is now around 60 views per day. If I turn off ads so people can actually read it and get past the "content continues below" barrier...
