Of late, I've noticed a worrying trend with network sites, at least in my case. I used to get of my pieces accepted to Reelrundown, Turbofuture, and Levelskip without any hassle.
Things have been different for the last few months or so, however. While Levelskip is still a accepting everything I churn out, the rest of these sites have changed their stance. New articles are not being picked up for those websites. On the other hand, the manually submitted ones are either outright rejected or remain in limbo with no response.
I wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same issues. If you have figured something out, help out a fellow hubber. Maybe take a glance at a few of my recently published Hubs and point out what I'm not doing right.
If you're routinely being accepted for Levelskip, then it sounds like you know what's required.
Bear in mind that there's an individual editor who's managing the queue for each site. It's always possible that the Reelrundown and Turbofuture editors are sick, or on leave, and in these unusual times it may not be possible to find a replacement. So it may just be that there's no one working on those queues temporarily.
The only other explanation is that your articles are on subjects that are already over-represented on those sites. For instance, I recall a time when someone submitted a Hub of scrambled egg recipes to Delishably and it wasn't accepted - not because it was badly written, but because there were too many other Hubs about scrambled eggs.
The first possibility seems more likely. I suppose I'll have to wait and see how it plays out. Maybe I'll spice up my articles a bit more in the meantime.
From what you've said in your original post, the first option is less likely because you said that you were receiving rejections. If it were just no response, it would be likely there are just long queues. Maybe write an email to the team and ask them about it.
How do I mail them? I mean, at what email address?
Glen gave you the address. I was wondering the other day why you don't have the imitation game on your list of genius movies to watch. Unrelated question.
I dont think spicing up the articles will help. I started to follow you because I read several of your things when doing a Google search. They are fine just as they are.
I think the problem is no HPs end. Try Brandon“s solution.
Thanks. I usually pay someone to have a look at my articles before I publish them. Contacting them seems to be a good idea. Do they have different email addresses for every network sites?
Would like to confirm that our Reelrundown and Turbofuture editors are alive and well! Please email the team for more information!
Glad you asked this question Rahul, because I am experiencing the same issue.
At random, I picked four moths ago. I published 12 articles of which 11 were boosted to niche sites such as Owlcation, Exemplore, Soapboxie, and Axeladdict.
The same for nine months ago, of 12 articles 11 went onto the likes of Owlcation, Hollydappy, Howtheyplay, etc.
Of my 24 most recent articles (excluding those posted during the last few days because they may not have been considered yet) only 12 have received the exalted seal of approval and elevated to where they might make a bit of money. Mostly, these pieces are likely to be of interest to Owlcation, Soapboxie, and Exemplore.
So, I've rather quickly gone from a 92% acceptance rate to 50%. I haven't changed the amount of effort and research I put into writing. By my own unbiased accounting, I've written some pretty good pieces that haven't made the cut.
Something has changed and I don't know what it is.
Blame the cut-throat competition. In my case, I got a detailed reply from Samantha, stating what I need to do to have my pieces accepted.
My articles usually go to ReelRunDown, TurboFuture, and/or LevelSkip, so suggestions from the editors of those websites were included.
I'll forward the mail to you, if you want.
It looks as though my comments of yesterday have nudged a couple of articles loose from the oblivion in which they rested and are now busy earning vast wealth on the network sites.

The feed on HubPages.com still promotes Network sites. Why are they doing it even though there is no income generated from those sites for the writers? Most of us have withdrawn our articles from those sites. So, I think, there is no logic in promoting these network sites.

A lot of my new hubs have not been getting considered for Reelrundown lately. It feels as if they have gotten a tad more strict. Do you guys feel the same way?

I am starting a thread so writers can inform each other about articles being moved to existing network sites. I am happy to say that one of the articles I submitted about a month ago was moved from Discover to WonderWisdom today. Is anyone else having articles moved to network sites?

Do network sites provide any advantage to our articles? If so, how?A number of my articles have been moved to various network sites, but some articles are linked with hubpages.com/discover and some with just hubpages.com. Are the non-network ones suffering some kind of disadvantage? Thanks — Lyndon
