As regards organic search, does it make a difference? I notice traffic to my "Understanding Electricity...." article was highest when it was in the Home Appliances category on Dengarden, then they moved it to Home Improvement for some reason in mid 2018. Maybe that was why traffic started to decline or it could have been a coincidence? Since then, it was shifted to Owlcation last year and now it's back in the Home Improvement category. I wonder is there any point pushing my luck getting it shifted again? (within Dengarden).
I see your point. “Home Improvement” doesn’t seem right for an article about "Understanding Electricity.”
You can always bring it up for review and see what they decide. The only problem is that Owlcation is a large site and they only have three curators for it, so you’ll have to be patient.
It was on Owlcation for a year Glenn, but I got it moved back to Dengarden recently. The problem is that there was a similar older article with volts, amps and watts in the title and I could never rank for these keywords, at least in combination, because of the Google Site Diversity changes (which unfortunately occurred a few weeks after it was moved to Owlcation). These keywords are pretty much essential I reckon in the context of the article. Anyway traffic is increasing slowly again and has nearly reached what it was on Dengarden before the move. I would prefer it to be in the STEM category of Owlcation, but there's not much point if Google won't rank it for the important keywords in the title (not listed in the first 1000 results anyway). At least now I'm up to 23rd place for these terms so far.
Just to clarify, I requested the original move to Owlcation.

In April, I requested an article be moved from Dengarden to Owlcation. After the move in May, organic traffic doubled for a few weeks compared to the traffic on Dengarden. However unfortunately because of the Google site diversity change implemented last week (possibly), traffic has dropped back...

So far I have struck out twice in submitting this article. The first time I thought that WanderWisdom would be a good match because it is a place in which people can go to dine, buy nursery plants and other items, and even get married. People with disabilities (the lucky ones) get to live...

Just some thoughts on the gardening category. It would be nice if a garden tools subcategory could be added. Having written a hub on this subject, I can't make up my mind whether the best option is to locate it in the hand tools category under home improvement or possibly in the garden design or...

Greetings my dear fellows!I wanted to know that, if I write an article on different fun facts about human body and psychology, animals, and geography, what category should I choose? and then if I want to submit it to a niche site, which site will be suitable for it?
