What would happen if there is a double topic on HP? Does the author who writes the first one has the right to email the editors to delete the second article? TY

Don't know the exact answer to your question Eric
but once it happened to me and the style tip told me that one article on hp already exist with the same title so, I changed the title a bit by putting a hyphen in between

You have the right to email HP about anything you so desire, but their response to what you email them is all up to them. In this case, the only thing that will get another article removed would be plagiarism, because HP allows the same topic to be written about so long as the perspective is unique.

Not sure I understand—if someone else wrote an article on the same topic as you, then no, it would not be deleted. As Kyler said, that would only happen in the event of plagiarism.

I don't think deleting the second article would be right, unless it was just a reworded version of the first article and was obviously intended to be a copy. Different writers have different ideas about what to include in an article, even if they're writing about the same topic. There may be some overlap in facts, but as long as there are also significant differences between the two articles, I think it's fine if two people write about the same subject.

I usually do a search using the magnifying glass top right to see if the topic I'm planning on writing about has been covered. Sometimes, I have found something similar that is languishing in the swill bucket with no ads. I reason I can do better and press ahead.

However, if it's good article in a niche site I move on to something else. No sense in treading on the toes of another Hubber. That wouldn't be nice.

It won't be deleted, but from my experience if the title uses similar keywords, because of the Google Site Diversity changes, the article won't turn up in SERPS if anyone searches for those keywords or fragments from the title containing the title. I had to get an article moved from one niche site to another because of this. Also one of my articles is competing with the other because they are variations on a theme and use similar, but unfortunately necessary keywords in their titles. This doesn't always happen though. I have two troubleshooting guides, one basic and the other advanced and both are listed on the first page. Read up about "Google Site Diversity" for more information.
