HP says this hub has the opportunity to be featured. I've tweaked it a few times and still no go. Any suggestions? https://hubpages.com/hub/m-and-m-candy-christmas

I haven’t had chance to read the article in detail, but did notice that several of the Flickr images you have used are specified as being not for commercial use. For an article such as this, it’s always better to use your own images, wherever possible.
    Good luck!

Thanks for taking a look. Yes, they are not allowed for commercial use, but I have long standing arrangements with those flickr accounts to use their photos on my party pages. I suppose it does come across as suspicious, though, to anyone not aware of the arrangement. I never thought of that.

HP doesn't care about private agreements.  They only allow photos that are licensed for public use.  Your hub will never be featured or moved to a niche site if you continue to use Flickr images that are not licensed for public use.

That is not entirely true since I have other Hubs using these same types of images that are featured, this one for example https://discover.hubpages.com/food/deco … h-fondant. But I understand what you are saying and appreciate the input.

No, HP does NOT care about image copyright. You can have images that are copyright protected on your hubs and they will not bother. It is up to you to look into the legality of the images you use. The only images they have problems with are images that are pixelated and images that have watermarks on them. You can steal images and put them up on your hubs and your hubs can still be moved to niche sites, let alone be featured.

I would say your use of headings directly below headings is a problem. This is usually not done, but in your case, they are a bunch of keywords and not a real heading at all. You use tilde separated words.

Keyword stuffing - Back in the day when Simone was here she told me one of my articles had kyeword stuffing on the headings and it was edited, this hub of yours has way more keywords stuffed in the headings than I've ever had and I am guessing that this still plays a role when it comes to featuring a hub. M & M is in the title, you don't need to repeat it every time. Also, there is a similar heading twice: The Christmas poem heading.

You renamed your comments capsule, I wonder if that is a problem too.

I also wonder about the image headings, are those text capsules above each image? The guessing game for instance. This could be a problem, not so sure.

I'll share some things that I noticed. The phrase "M & M" is repeated many times. I think it would be good to reduce the repeats if you can. In addition, in two cases you've used the same title for different capsules.

In the "Holday Treats" link at the end, it would be good to say that the link goes to recipes instead of items for sale.

I'm not sure whether the two links to sites selling M & M items are acceptable. I certainly don't think that you should have one of the links in the first sentence of the article.

Edit: I just noticed that Brandon raised some of the points in my response while I was composing my answer. I think you should consider them.

Alicia has some good points about the links, I just checked and your eBay and Etsy links are not really accepted the way you use them. You could talk about some specific product and link out to it, but just saying "keyword" ornaments and sending the people to a category page will not cut it anymore.

I agree with the others. I know the article is about M & Ms but this feels like M & M overload. Get rid of half the M & M references and headings and also the links.

Thanks everyone I can definitely remove some of the M & M text. This is an old hub made back in the day when Hubpages was not stringent and allowed lots of amazon modules. So now that I took out those modules, some of the text probably reads funny. The heading below the heading I "believe" also dates back to the old days. Didn't hubpages used to have sub-headings or sub-titles? If so when they revamped the pages these sub titles moved into the content section. Unless I think that is what happened!

Alicia, those two affiliate links I added after I originally posted the hub here for review. I figured if they are not going to feature it, I might as well throw in some affiliate links. I do make money from this page via those affiliate links so I thought what the hell. Lol

Subheadings would be fine in some cases when done in a particular way, but you seem to have sub-keywords which will cause a problem when it comes to the hub being featured.
