You can't. And you wouldn't want to. A canonical link tells Google to ignore the article. As you get most of your HP traffic from external sources, it wouldn't be very useful.
However, in Medium, you get your earnings from internal views, therefore having Google index the piece is not a priority. So you set the canonical link in Medium, not your blog or HP.
Bev, I'm following with interest all the discourses on the cononical link. when you introduce the subject of the cononical link awhile ago, as relate to increase traffic both at HubPages and Medium, I see it as a very enlightening. Seriously, I've a questim to ask. The canonical link, is it provide by Hubpages or Google? Thank you.
