It started yesterday, apparently: June 30th Google Search Ranking Algorithm Update & Fluctuations
Traffic is up all around, not sure if the alg has anything to do with it, but it's welcome if so.
My traffic has been tumbling for the last 6 weeks or so. Some of it is because school's out for the summer and the gardening/DIY season is tailing off, so I can't really ascertain if the algorithms are having any effect. It's down to last year's levels, but traffic was higher early summer than last year so reckon they did have a detrimental effect.
I have a big range of niches that I write for, there's only a handful that I *don't* have anything published in, and I've had the same thing. It's way more of a drop than would be expected for just seasonal issues and has come in several stages. It's pretty grim. Earnings down about 30%!
The only silver lining is that another month of algo updates may mean some sort of recovery. We can only hope!
That said, my traffic has been creeping up a little over the past 24 hours. That shouldn't really happen at the end of the week.
The truth is that the dust probably won't settle until late August, according to what I've read.
Off Hubpages, my blog is yet to recover from the last update and now another one!
I wish Google would let off with these updates.
At this stage, I'm hoping for more updates, on the grounds that things can only get better!
I'm also hoping that this update will steady things more. I took a bad hit on HP. But let's stay positive and see how things go. Even though these updates are nerve-wracking for those of us who earn a living off our articles and blogs!

Difficult to believe, I know, after all the shenanigans we've experienced for the past three months with traffic rising or falling 10 or 20% every other day.

I an not sure whether the current Google's update, Broad Core Algorithm update, referred to as May 2022 update, that was rolled out yesterday, May 25, and which will run for 2 weeks, is the cause of people outside of U.S. not seeing ads on their hubs, and the others hubs on Hubpages and its...
