Perhaps I am just ignorant and did not see it, but can we get a disclaimer added to the dropdown menu for crypto/other stock ownership? Most top-grossing sites use them for their authors/investors, and it would be nice to have them in the dropdown menu.
For context: This concern arose from my reinvigorated interest in playing stocks, and I plan to write on the topic extensively in due time. I see the disclaimers all over other sites, but could not find one in the HubPages disclaimers.
Kyler, there is an appropriate disclaimer available in the list that you can select. I use it in my articles on stock trading and cryptocurrency. Look for the one that says:
This article is accurate and true to the best of the author’s knowledge. Content is for informational or entertainment purposes only and does not substitute for personal counsel or professional advice in business, financial, legal, or technical matters.
I was afraid that the available disclaimers weren't actually enough as it concerns legal issues that could arise, because it doesn't expressly state that the author is an owner of the stocks being written about. Is that not actually a concern, or is it enough to simply address it clearly within the body of the article? Is it more of a "cover all the bases" stance that other sites are using, and not actually a pertinent disclosure?
In addition, for clarity, I am having trouble finding a clear and concise reason that the top sources include their ownership disclaimers for their authors.
The one I use was actually selected for my finance articles by HubPages' editors when the list of disclaimers were first introduced. However, I do understand your point about “ownership disclaimers” and I agree with you that that is not specifically mentioned. Therefore, you can always add that in your content, as I do, when appropriate.
Thank you for the information.
Perhaps HubPages staff will still weigh in on the reasons for or against a direct ownership disclaimer in their disclaimer dropdown options. I'm finding myself interested in the contrast between sites.
You’re welcome Kyler. Yes, hopefully staff will weigh in on this because you do have a good point.

What does this disclaimer appearing at the end of most of the articles at Hubpages and/or the Network sites seems to imply? "This content is accurate and true to the best of the author’s knowledge and is not meant to substitute for formal and individualized advice from a qualified...

Do you guys offer disclaimers on any of your medical and health hubs, saying that you are, or aren't, a licensed practioner or veterinarion, and for serious concerns please consult a licensed doctor or vet? I was thinking about offering one for my pet health hubs, as with the few medical ones that...

Is there a reason for this rather than having it at the beginning where it will be seen before anyone acts on the information in an article? Is there something special about the disclaimer capsule or text? Has anyone used their own disclaimer to replace the preset ones? I'm thinking of adding on...
