I have an article that has been on this site for about a decade now. It was always considered good quality back then. It's a howto on how to make Mead.
I came here looking for a link to it to give somebody else, and find it's suddenly unpublished!

The reasons are obscure, but seem to say that it has "spammy content" but that makes no sense.
There a) aren't any links on it (that I can find). and b) it isn't self-or-anything-else promoting except as a step-by-step to how to make mead (from honey and spices).

    What am I doing wrong?
How can I fix it to make it publishable again?

Please note: I have read the FAQ and all the associated articles.

This article used to fit the quality guidelines just fine. It used to be featured.

Something has changed and it's stopped fitting the guidelines for some reason that is *not easily obvious* to me sad

I have had this happen to me as well to some articles. In my case, I think it was because the articles that got unpublished were not getting much traffic.

I made a few changes to them and republished them and they stayed published. At least for now. You could try making minor changes and then republishing them.

Thanks. I tried a few times and they kept being bumped back multiple times.

I think something hinky in the algorithm was knocking it back and I couldn't figure out what hmm

Looks like an actual human may have gotten involved now and it's published again... so hey.

(At least, I'm totally guessing that's what happened as suddenly it's featured again.)

Did you get it republished? I see it on your profile. Unless that's a different one.

Yep, it suddenly got itself published, after I asked about it.
