I really dislike the way my articles are displayed on niche sites - too much advertising interferes with the flow. All of my published articles are on these sites but I am seriously considering leaving anything that I submit in the future on Hubpages. Will this impact negatively on views and income?

Unfortunately if you want to earn money from your articles they have to be on Discover or one of the niche sites. Hubpages dot com is no longer being monetized. Your traffic will suffer as well. HP does not rank well and unless you write on very unique topics it's unlikely your articles will be at the top of the search engines.

Oh, thanks for the info. I didn’t know that Hubpages is no longer monetised.  Sorry to hear it.

I didn't know that, either. Very disappointing news. There is a lot (I mean a LOT) of blank white space between paragraphs on these niche sites. My articles are primarily on Desishably and Dengarden (stupid names). I don't know if this is a problem with the other sites. Every time an article is moved, there are edits. Some of them are helpful. Others, not so much. Some of the "edits" are incorrect grammar -- I am an editor and proofreader, myself. They always tell me the use APA -- I have used APA for decades.

I write in MS Word, then copy & paste into the HP modules. Every time they make changes, including my titles, I have to change the titles, URLs, and edits (or correct the edits) in the article and in Word, and then change the titles & URLs on Facebook, Twitter, &  Instagram posts. It just makes more work which I could be writing or painting.

Check you don't have any carriage return line feeds at the end of paragraphs you paste from Word. This could be causing the unwanted spaces. Position your cursor at the end of text in a capsule and keep hitting delete to remove and extra lines. You can also use shift enter instead of enter to reduce the spacing between paragraphs within text capsules.

Thanks, eugbug, but there are no end of line codes that need to be removed, as I always check for them. I see this on everyone's articles of the niche sites. I suppose it could be that ads or photos are still loading. I usually scroll on by the huge blank spaces to get to the text, then move on to the next article I want to read.
