So is mine. I hope this is a continuing trend, Eugene.

Eugene, are these graphs from your GA account? I'm still not quite sure how to manipulate the various reporting capabilities. The bar chart shows my traffic is up. How do I create the comparison as you show above?

It's best to do it on desktop. On a mobile device I think it's probably more awkward, and I'm not sure whether the GA app provides the same manipulation capabilities.

So from the left side panel (reports),  click on Behavior > Site Content > All Pages

        https://hubstatic.com/15810448.png

Next click on the date range in the top right corner.  A dialog box appears. Just say you want to compare the same days for November this year to November last year:

Click on the start date text panel under "Date Range" and then select 1st Nov from the calendar. The end date text panel under "Date Range" is automatically highlighted.

        https://hubstatic.com/15810460.png

Pick Monday 30th November from the calendar. If you need to go further back than a couple of months, just use the navigation arrows on the calendar.

        Check the box "compare to"

Navigate back to November last year.

Click in the start date text box under "Compare to" and select the date from the calendar.

        https://hubstatic.com/15810474.png

Remember the days of the week will be a day out between this year and last. So to compare days like for like, pick the 2nd November last year which was a Monday. The end date text box is automatically highlighted.

Pick the end date in November from the calendar.

This shows trends for the total traffic to all your hubs. You can also check the boxes beside each page in the page list and click on "Plot rows" to get trends for each individual hub (6 max selections)

The behavior report doesn't give hourly results. If you want these, select Audience > Overview and Page Views from the drop down menu when you click the "Users" button on the graph. Then just pick the dates as I described above.

I've been looking at this for years and I only just checked out the options for "compare to" in the drop down menu. You can compare the same period the previous year, but it uses the same dates and the days of the week aren't synchronised.

Thanks, Eugene. You've been a great help. BTW, I don't access the Internet from my phone. I always use a desktop or laptop.

I had a 3k+ increase on one article alone, the rest are pretty standard for what I have been seeing the last couple months. I want to know where all the views are coming from, but of course the stats page on the actual article does not have the same numbers as I'm seeing on my account page, so I have no idea where half of them are coming from. I did see a new site that I cannot figure out what it is, but I'm curious to see how long this article will stay with these kind of views. It tanked almost two years ago, and it seems to good to be true that an article that was averaging less than 50 views a day is well over 1k now. On the 1st I saw it top out over 3k, but I cannot figure out how that is even possible.

My CPMs were higher for the 1st as well. With the new way impressions are being calculated, I thought CPMs were going to be lower with the higher impressions?

My views don't seem all that different. CPMs are up because of the season. But I don't see much to celebrate about so far.

Same here.  Traffic and CPMs are both down for me.  It's normal for traffic to be down for me this time of year because I write about gardening, but the lower CPMs are unusual and concern me.

Maybe it will be like last year when things picked up right after the Xmas season ended. There's been kind of a pattern in recent years where we dip in the fall/winter season.

I need a recovery. I make some regular money from Medium, too, nowadays, but this place is the main source for me, as far as writing goes.
