Can a title "Disclaimer" be put over this and maybe the text made more prominent or in a callout so it can't be missed? We could of course do this ourselves, but maybe there's something magical about the meta tag used for disclaimer components of a webpage?
I'm getting worried now about all the DIY guides I've written here and the potential of litigation. I know I asked something about disclaimers before, but the suggestion was that I shouldn't start adding more disclaimer stuff to cover myself. I've already unpublished one article. Also I'd like to be able to delete some Q and A s and comments where I may have given advice that could have been wrong and could get me into trouble. Of course in the short term that's not an option because of the ongoing work on comments.
Edit: Just added the word "Disclaimer" as a H2 title in a text capsule above the disclaimer.
It looks like you found a solution for now by adding the "Disclaimer" title above the canned disclaimer.
By the way, you can delete Q&A by setting them to "hidden." I've done that for several of them where I chose to place my answers in the content of the article itself.
Comments, however, are still a problem. I asked Matt if he could delete some for me that were interfering with my SEO. However, he discovered he couldn't do it either since the feature to delete comments has not been implemented, even from their end. He said he thinks that will eventually be made available.
In my opinion, that whole thing with comments has become a fiasco!

If I delete an article and republish it, can I use the same title? Or is that URL reserved? I'm thinking of republishing some older articles that used to have very high traffic to keep Google happy.

I have a lot of top 10 articles on this account and others where I give my educated opinion on the best "whatevers". I get a fair number of comments that basically say, "You (or your article) are useless because you didn't include (this person or thing that I like) on your list. Blah...
