Table of Contents

I have been thinking of adding table of contents to one of my articles that has more than 3000 words.
It has several subheadings - more than 6. Also, I have included an answer box to most searched (asked) keywords that lead people to click on my article. This answer box has more than 7 subheadings.
Will inclusion of table of contents help in increase in viewership, or will it hurt it.
    Thanks.

It will probably be removed if the article goes to a niche site. It will help your readers but for some reason is no longer acceptable.

Thanks for the information. I'll have to do without a table.

That, I've noted. And, I think it wise not to include table of content in my articles again?

Yah, don't if your article is located in a vertical site. It's not supported there.

It used to be possible to create a contents section with links that pointed to HTML div tags (division or a section in an HTML document) corresponding to text capsule titles. This enabled a reader to jump to a section in an article. Unfortunately the new network sites no longer include div tags in the code.

It was much easier that way. So we will have to do without table of contents despite how lengthy some articles are.
      Thanks for the info.
