The Amazons are all a pending
There's six now in a row
    I'll never go a spending
'Til the numbers are all known

There once was a writer from Wales
Whose commissions used to fill pails
      Now it’s just three percent
      That won’t pay the rent!
Yet he spends all day waiting for sales

Haha, this thread is amazing. Amazon earnings have been updated. I apologize for the delay.

I’m closely watching that too, and trying to be patient. I usually get revenue from several Amazon sales every day, so I hope this isn’t a sign of pending trouble.

There was an old guy depending
    Upon Amazon's pay-out not ending.
    Suffice it to say
    It's not paying him today
And the old guy's world is up-ending!

When the Amazon flow runs dry
    We all wonder why
    Was it something we did
    That keeps earnings hid
Or does Bezos want us to cry?

This little fish is interested in the answer, too, but loving this fun thread in the meantime.

    Even a little fish
    Can nibble at the dish
But the dish is just bait
    And something you'll hate
Cos you'll eat what Amazon wish

There was an old man from the Sun State
Who waited six days for an update
    Filled with despair
    He pulled out his hair
Then posted a rhyme that was irate

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe
Broke and hungry and her rent was due
    Her Amazon earnings late
Last bit of food she ate
So depressed she knew not what to do sad

    1 little 2 little 3 little Amazons
    4 little 5 little 6 little Amazons
    7 little 8 little 9 little Amazons
Where have all the Amazons gone?

It has happened to us before
And eventually the Amazon stats restore.

Half the residuals are from those sales,
But not so much that I need to carry it in pails.

Nevertheless, I wouldn’t want to take a hit.
If that happens, it would hurt a bit.

Even though Amazon goes through phases
I trust things will be worked out with HubPages.

Even though Amazon is presently broken
We can feel good, thanks to this thread by Paul Goodman.

After all is said and done,
These rhymes are lots of fun.

      Wind in tall bare trees
      Dry sand underfoot; gray skies
      Amazon is lost

(I think this is a Haiku)

I don't get why everyone thinks it's funny.
The fact is there is missing money.
Before I go on a rant and vent
I am hoping staff with make a comment.

Seriously, what's up? It's been almost a week.

Here's an attempt at a sonnet:

The tension is too much to bear
My nerves are now too frayed to dampen
    Will I be a millionaire
    When the Amazons finally happen?

    I know Glenn's right, I shouldn't care
    My last ditty was over-dramatic
Delays in updates aren't that rare
The stats have always been erratic

    Will the figures appear today
Or is the outlook truly bleak?
Are they already on their way
Or will the days become a week?

It's que sera sera, I guess
Cross your fingers and hope for best

    The wait is over.
    We can remain sober.

    The stats are updated.
    No need to be aggravated.

    The sales are normal.
And the delay must have been technical.

    All is well.
As far as I could tell.

    Amazon is back!
We can celebrate with a six-pack.

I agree it wasn’t funny, Eric.
But I still think this thread was fantastic.
