I have received an email stating that they are considering my article Kids Dying to Live - The Urgency of Pediatric Cancer to Soapboxie but I need to make the information more 'Evergreen' but I'm not sure exactly where to start or how to re-word the information so that it is more Evergreen.

Can somebody please give me some suggestions?

I am a new writer with very little experience.

    Thanks smile

Mia, You have some excellent advice here. The subtitles need to be APA, and you can use this tool. https://capitalizemytitle.com/#

I would also reference hope in the future with all the research, more awareness and charitable contributions that give it an evergreen feel.

@ SportBettingBTC That promotional and spammy article of yours will never be approved, so maybe you aren't in a position to offer 'best advice'?

Hi Mia, Great article that deserves a wide audience. I would suggest a revision that's not so time-sensitive. For example, instead of saying " Only 4% of.." say " a small percentage of.." and "causes of cancer are not yet known.."
    And so forth.

I would get rid of "as of today" but except what Stephen pointed out there is nothing else there. Are you sure that was not some form letter/email? I noticed one "has" that should have been "have" but other than that did not notice anything.

Nice article. Best of luck here.

I'm not quite sure I understand your comment, sorry!

But I did find the "has" so thank you for pointing that out.

When articles are rejected, the team sends out a form email stating that "these are things that need to be approved". It lists grammar, spelling, making an article more evergreen, etc. Sometimes editors will go in and fix things, other times they will just point out that things need to be fixed.

Hi, Mia. Since you’ve written about health, you should include references to support your statements. In general, the article is well written, but it does contain some grammar errors, which you should correct. I think you also need to add more details, which may be what the comment about making the article evergreen refers to.

One example where more detail may be useful is you say “Similar to ALS” but don’t state what the letters stand for or what the other names for the disease are. Some readers may not know what disease you’re referring to.

You certainly don’t have to add so many explanatory details that you change your topic, but at the moment I think a reader would be puzzled by some aspects of your article. It’s potentially a very good one, but I think it needs editing.
