I have a fair number of featured images, but no snippets anymore.

      Feature? Niche? Both?

        What's a "niche"?

The different categories: DenGarden or PetHelpful. Then there's Discover and HubPages that are feature articles.

No, I meant the search results that Google puts in a box at the top of screen, called "featured snippets".

Not that I am aware of. I think I used to have about 10.

I have some, not sure how many, but certainly less than I used to have. It's not really a surprise, given the general state of traffic.

I don't have any anymore. I did have an image in the right side panel on desktop, but they seem to have taken that away now too. I was getting 1800 views per day for an article on Owlcation when I had the featured snippet or first place in SERPs. Now that traffic has dropped to 60 a day and is still falling. Meanwhile people keep stealing the graphics from it.

I have an article that's snipped from about 4 to 5 years ago. Used to receive high traffic. But nowadays, it gets less than 200 views/day even though it is still featured by Google.
