    Hey there people,

I'd like to ask what platforms do you use to get more eyes to your content.
I mainly use my Instagram page, but I'd like to know your methods, and what platforms do you think work the best?

I only find Pinterest of any use. You can't use links on Instagram posts though or is there some way of doing it I don't know about?

You can insert posts into the stories now. And I also think into the bio.

All the usual suspects (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.) can potentially work. Episodes of directly generated traffic tend to be brief, though, and usually light.

What's maybe a more practical aim is to go for links, which will help SEO in the longer term. I think Pinterest is maybe best for this. That said, it depends on the specific article which social media is most suited.

I wouldn't have too high an expectation of social media for generating traffic, though. Search engines are by far the best source, mainly because any traffic is more likely to be sustained.

Links on forum posts relevant to the topic of an article can bring in some topic if you can get away with posting them without being banned. Sometimes a moderator will allow a link if it's of benefit to a discussion.

Yes, that's the difficult thing: not getting banned. Some moderators will instantly be suspicious when you post a link, I know I am when I see one in my comments section.

I've been banned from Reddit topics before now for posting too many links. It's hard to know where the line is sometimes.

I've been banned from Reddit twice and from a couple of other forums. Some seem to have a zero tolerance for posting links.

One reason that I tend to just use Twitter and Pinterest is that it's a low investment of time and energy. If it works out, that's good, if it doesn't, I don't care. smile

Any social media will help in that but that is generally short lived.
