Is posting new content to get paid percentage of pay from ads still work it? I haven't posted in year's. Can someone bring me up to speed?
Yes, everything still works. All you need is traffic.
I was out from the hubpages ever since Google updates started hurting the content writers online. Now I do have articles and randomly write every now and then. It does get traffic and we do get paid too. But not same like in the days of 2007 to 2014. That golden period is gone.
Now a days traffic is not in our hands. And random traffic means we can't rely on hubs for serious income.
Yes, I still get paid by HP at least every 3 months depending on the traffic and the earnings.
Yes, you will still be payed, readers are still enjoying the content on Hubpages. You could try posting another Hub Article to bring traffic to your Hubs again...and of course promote existing content.
Traffic is the main thing otherwise it would be in the range from $0 to 0.01 per day.
I've never met the threshold to be paid, although several writers still get paid every month.
Those who get moderate to an extensive amount of traffic find they are still able to keep things going.
Probably better to get a job cutting lawns. A donation button would be nice so readers could show their appreciation for the help we give them. In fact I'm going to run polls on my troubleshooting guides and ask people would they donate if there was a button.
It's possible to earn. Some are earning monthly. My earning were affected by the December 2022 Google algorithm update. I reach the threshold payment 2-3 months. As a result of the update my article started losing significant traffic.
But I still keep strong. Hubpages has been my writing home for more than 11 years.
Been here forever too. Even when the times are back in blows my mind to look back at something I wrote in 2014 and see it's still giving me a dollar a month.
I still get beer and pizza money from my HP writings every few months, so I keep on truckin'.
My poll just got snipped. I got four "yes" votes and one "no" votes in five days from readers who were asked whether they would agree to donating a dollar if there was a donation button.
I think a dollar donation by someone who appreciated reading e.g. a troubleshooting guide is much more rewarding than the 0.5 cent pittance we earn from ads on a page impression. It's a shame Hubpages won't allow it. Maybe because they wouldn't be getting a share? How about if we agree to share our revenue? I see too that CPM seems to be going down again.
Yes up until now I hit the threshold monthly. But to be honest I don't think I will this month as views are so low. But here's hoping.

Earlier I posted that people should go and make links going to other sites that do not belong to you nofollow. Then someone mentioned that if your hubber score is less than 85 then "every link" will be nofollow. But this is not what HubPages says. HubPages says:"If your HubberScore...

I've seen traffic on my Soapboxie articles plummet this year. Is anyone else seeing the same?I had one article getting 100+ views per day. Now it gets about 5. I don't want to bash the editors, but this happened shortly after editing. Normally they do a good job, but I had complained about this...

What are my fellow Hubbers doing with hubs that aren't selected for a niche site? Do you plan on leaving them on HubPages or moving them. I'm not sure if it would be better to move them to my blog and risk losing page rank or to leave them and see what happens to all those "left...
