    Hello, everyone!

I posted this concern as a reply on one of the forum posts related to it a couple of hours ago. I just decided to create a separate forum post for it.

I hope someone can help me on this because this subject is not my forte.

I am having a hard time setting up GA4. I followed Matt's instructions about a week ago, then I got stuck with the tagging instructions.

Google Analytics says, "Data collection isn’t active for your website. If you installed tags more than 48 hours ago, make sure they are set up correctly."

I can't quite grasp the "tagging" part of this process.

    Did I skip a step?

Thank you in advance for your kind responses!

Are you setting it up for your own website? Matt's instructions are mainly for the HubPages website. If you choose your HubPages username as the property, you should be able to get to the end without any issue.

I found it to work well on a computer, so check on that too.

        It's for my hubpages account.

You could then be making other settings made for the users with their own websites. If you are already seeing data in your GA4 property, then you should at least be good.

Currently, I'm not seeing any data. Maybe I'll just repeat the process and delete the current property I have

If you email the team at HP they'll be able to help you. Tell them exactly what you've done step by step - really important - and everything should fall into place with their guidance.

You are connecting GA4 to the existing Universal Analytics tag. You don't need to update any tags.

I also have the problem of setting up GA4 as a starter on hubpages. Can anyone here give me a link?

I hope they start to allow the new Stream ID into the GA4 textbox.
