    Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. Unfortunately, after reviewing your application, we're unable to accept you into AdSense at this time.

We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below.

    Issues:
    - Domain ownership

    ---------------------

    Further detail:
In the field where I type my URL I put the hubpage website address as they instruct.  They then proceed to reject my application for the following reason -- they wrote:

Domain ownership: To complete our review of your website, we need to confirm that you have access to the HTML source code of the URL you've submitted or were given access to AdSense via a third-party platform.

    I. If you host your own website or can edit the HTML code, please complete the following steps:

        1. Access the HTML source code of www.hubpages.com.
        2. Create a separate page on the site and paste the snippet:

This post confirms my ownership of the site and that this site adheres to Google AdSense program policies and Terms and Conditions.

        3. Resubmit the application as described below after replacing www.hubpages.com in the 'Website URL' with the URL of the page on which you have pasted the snippet.

    ********
I really have no idea what they are asking me to do.  I tried putting my profile URL but got rejected as well.  Then I read this advice from a hubber which seemed to tell me to do what i did in the first place but got rejected anyway:

phy'l potpourri, I am a (hubber) publisher at Hubpages myself ! I beleive your problem is that you are not using the top-level-domain only. the http protocol identifier is not needed nor is the /hub/phyl-poutpourri part. The declarations (in the source code) that google need to verify wont be found in your profile or individual hubs but on hubpages "root" folder. simply type the hubpage primary address in the adsense application field so the bot can verify (the) site not your individual hub. they will find your profile by reading the rest of the application and name..hope that helps.

    ******
Does anyone have any solution to my problem?  I'm trying to make a little extra money via adsense but I can't get them to approve my application.  How exactly do I access Hubpages HTML source code and how do I create a separate page (do they mean a hubpage??) on which I post this snippet:

This post confirms my ownership of the site and that this site adheres to Google AdSense program policies and Terms and Conditions.

        3. Resubmit the application as described below after replacing the hubpage root address in the 'Website URL' with the URL of the page on which you have pasted the snippet.

You cannot access the source code or paste HTML into HubPages. Your only option is to use your profile URL (unless you have your own blog or website). I do understand that you have tried this already, and Google's reply seems to make no sense. However, you are not the first hubber to encounter this problem, we have a couple of other threads with the same issue.

Ok, I'm working on creating a blog.  Hopefully that will work.  Thanks so much for taking the time to respond.

    Just use your profile URL.

If you want you can also create a blogger account, and a blog, then after you have created some content create an adsense account using your blog url.

Thanks, I'm in the process of creating a blog.  Hope it works.  I'm trying to encourage some of my facebook friends to create a Hubpage but they want to know if I'm making any money first... still I'm sure it'll be a few months before I make anything.

Do you actually make anything substantial via adsense (ie.. over $100 a month consistently) hope you don't mind my asking?

Not a very good example for an inexperienced member seeking guidance about realistic expectations.

L Rosa, I take the liberty of answering your question. Thisisoli is a top professional person, I'd be surprised if he does not make $100 a month on HubPages. But I consider him elite. It requires some skills and a fair amount of quality hubs to make that kind of money here. As a rule of thumb, expect $2-5 in revenue per 1,000 pageviews.

Google loves hubpages. $5 from 1000 impression in hubpages. Isn't that low?

I hope with good niches and proper keyword research, will reward us more than $5. One of my friend told that he was earning more than $100 from blogger blog with 5000 to 10000 impression.

My source is Paul Deeds, HubPages staff, who stated this in a forum post. Some may do better, of course, but I wouldn't count on that.

Although CTRs can vary wildly, expect a 1% to 2% CTR as an average. So, for 1000 page impressions, that would be a max of around 20 clicks. How much you make per click could be pennies or it could be dollars -- it all depends on the keywords that you choose.

HubPages has no bearing on how much you make per click or how many clicks you get. It helps you get ranked which helps you get search engine traffic. What happens when the readers get to your page is entirely up to you.

BTW, WE, I make more than $5.00 per 1000 impressions, and I don't consider myself an AdSense expert at all.

Earning from adSense can take time and depends on keywords that pays. I have 6 weeks old here about I have made a under $3. And I suspect that is normal when we start out.

While some hubbers do make $300 and more here, it is not common. I am hoping with more hubs and age (time here) it will improve for all of us.

$5 per 1000 views per advertising program is not particularly bad.
