What are some low competition keywords for the mom/baby niche?

    I have tried using semrush and have been at it for months but I never find any keyword below 50.

      I started my hubpages Journey in 2009, writing content in the mother/baby niche before launching a website which grew to 500,000 views/pm on the topic.

      My advice:
      - I never used any keyword tool, instead targeting longtails which you can't find through those tools.
      - Instead, I used Google Suggest, questions in Facebook Groups, and sites like Yahoo Answers or Quora to find unanswered questions.
      - Examples of articles that did really well for me:
      * Why can I feel my baby's heartbeat through my belly or neck?
      * Why does an egg in a sock for teething work (written 7 years ago, but recently went viral due to a TikTok trend)?
      * How to break your own waters at home (bait and switch, outlining the risks of doing this).
      - Keep in mind that women DON'T Google the same questions they ask their doctors. Answer the really basic questions.
      - Learn to visually check competition in Google results. If there are no exact matches for ALL the query keywords or the top results are sites like Quora, Wikipedia etc, you can probably rank well.
      - PLEASE be aware of EAT and YMYL (Your Money, Your Life). If you write on any medical issue without a medical degree, Google won't rank you. That's what eventually killed my website (I am a qualified doula but not a medical professional.)
