I want to think I've made so many sales on Amazon that I broke the earnings report. It's stuck on pending. Does anyone have Amazon earnings reports, or are we all pending?

Mine are pending as well, which made me wonder if they had changed commission rates again.  I discovered that Amazon commission rates were raised a year ago for several categories, which was news to me.  In case you missed it too, here is the link with what I believe are the current rate. Meanwhile, I am hoping to have earned enough for a Happy Meal.

Thanks for letting me know, everyone. I am concerned, too, Glen, because, like you, I make sales, and it's a perk that puts a smile on my face. Solaras, I also remember that notice, though I think there is a more current one. Happy Meals? How about a latte? Rupert, I have links to books but have yet to sell one from HP. Though, I sell unrelated items that could have come from my book links.

We are aware of this and are working on it. Sometimes there are data processing delays.

I've only made one Amazon sale ever, and it wasn't even mine. Somehow in December 2021 I received credit for this "Kate Kasin Women Vintage Open Front Cropped Bolero Shrug Cardigan Cape with Long Sleeve S-XXL." It has nothing to do with me.

I've linked to hundreds of books and never, apparently, sold a single one.

lol Hilarious, Rupert. They came to one of your pages first, then bounced off to somewhere else, made a purchase while your page was still open.

Edit: My last Amazon sale was in 2017.

I noticed that too, and it concerns me because it's been pending for over a week, and I usually make Amazon sales every day. But this has happened before, and it always gets resolved. So I didn't even ask the team about it yet.

It almost certainly doesn't matter and the stats will catch up at some point. It's never a good look though.

All pending and I don't even use Amazon links on any of my articles, Kenna. I took them all down years ago when HP got really strict about us needing to prove that we used the product or at least the content must be written in such a way that shows authority. I think it was a way to stop people from posting a bunch of products links to make money. So, now I have none, meaning I make small coins on HP. I miss the extra change from sales here and there.

Kenna, Solaras or Glenn, please update me on the best way to use Amazon links. I suppose it depends on the types of articles you write, i.e., DYI? (Yes, I know I can go to the Learning Center, but I just need the basic rules.) Thanks.

Jan, I included that information you’re looking for about basic rules with Amazon ads in my tutorial: “How to Write for HubPages and Get Published on Its Niche Sites.”

Scroll down to the subtitle section: “Use Amazon Ad Capsules and In-Text Links Properly” and also the section on “Avoid Spammy Amazon Ads.”

Thank you so much, Glenn. I will check these out to see if I want to start using them again.

I think they may have gotten a little more relaxed than they were 4 years ago, but like you I stopped trying to add them, since it seemed to generate so much ire.  Both ways.

Jan, It depends on the article. If you've used the product, explaining why it's so good or beneficial to the reader is easy. Conveying personal experience sells HP and the reader.
