I was just looking at one of my hubs, (Top ten gay movies)and there are so many ads that you can't read the article!! One ad was so huge it blocked the whole page, and you cant get rid of it to read what's blocked behind it.
Is there a way in editing to get rid of all of these gigantic ads that block your content? How are people supposed to be able to read your article if there is a giant ad blocking it?
That is very annoying. And, if I cant read my own article other people cant read it either.
I hope to get help with this. There is no reason to have so many dang pop up ads on one page. I couldn't click them off fast enough. They just kept on coming.
Annoying.
Nothing you can do about it. It's horrible and we've been complaining about it for a long time.
Right. if they are going to plaster our hubs with ads, we should at least get paid for the plastering. I have received nothing from ads...ever.
You have. You said on another thread that you've accumulated $16 in your account. It comes from the HubPages ad program.
I thought the earnings were more from page views, and not from the ads.
But, what do I know.
You earn something between 0.5 c and 2 c per pageview when ads are seen, irrespective of the number of ads per pageview.
I have had several page views in the last month, and I would assume people are seeing the ads. But have earned no money at all, not even 1 cent. I fact I have only earned 2 cents in 3 years.
I have made more money playing the lottery!! LOL!!
Have a look at your impression stats here. It shows the CPM, number of impressions and earnings for each day.

Hmmm. I just checked that link, and it says CPM is $3 this year. But total earnings is still only 1 cent. I'm confused. Did I earn $3 or jus 1 cent?
The CPM is the rate, not the actual earnings, so $3 per 1000 impressions (views).

If you want, you can turn them off completely per hub, but then you don't get any of the measly earnings
Articles on hubpages.com aren't eligible to earn.
Those on Discover, I think, earn less than those on the network sites. I'm not sure though, I could be wrong.

There are many adult products being sold through Amazon. Are such Adult ads like Vibrators, sex toys allowed to be selected and used in Hubs by Authors. I have seen many hubs using Amazon ads like that. (Many hubbers display such amazon ads in hubs that have no relation to that Topic) I just want...

Okay - It seems there was an update to the definition of our earnings. I cannot say when it occurred.Basically we are paid for pageviews. One payment per view of article, regardless of how many ads are delivered to the reader, unless they back out before the first ad is actually viewed. Then we...

People at one end say that good content is a must for a Hub or for any web article where Google adsense is the revenue source. I believe if the content is really good, the visitor will read through and reach the end of the article. But people at another end in Hubpages advice you not to place any...

Think of this.People say, content is the king in Hubs (or anywhere where you write articles and aim to get Adsense revenue). If I write a good article containing rich info on the subject, people will read it, get the info they wanted, appreciate it and go away. But if I write a "keyword"...
