Scaling and Alignment of Ads

I've asked this loads of times and never got a response, but can ads be aligned properly and scaled? Apart from the number of ads, the thing that makes them so ugly is the fact that they're neither aligned with other elements on the page nor scaled to the same width. It's a waste of our time making sure images are sufficiently wide and text is paragraphed and subtitled properly if the ads screw up the appearance of a page. At least make them look appealing if they're not or can't be reduced in number.

Eugene you're right. We never get an answer when it comes to asking legitimate questions about reform of the ads. Never. It's as if we don't exist.
It would be great if a random technician with a few spare hours to kill out of the blue unbeknownst to anyone at TAG spotted your thread and randomly decided to tidy up the ads just like that for the sake of a decent read.

Like @eugbug I live in Ireland and I've noticed that the HP ads layout is quite similar to Irish local news websites. Possibly not the international, high value content site HP aspires to be.

Yes, it's very unprofessional and amateur looking. I think either the problem is TAG hold the reins and they're just dimwits as regards graphic design, or there's an issue with changing the HTML design for some reason. But we never get any answers, so we'll just have to keep speculating.

I think that it must be bothering even the HP staff as they are unable to fix it.

I notice other TAG are sites are using the "Content continues below" message, so there's obviously a recognition of the issue with the time it takes to serve ads.

I see the same phrase on a lot of Dutch newspaper/television websites too. Unless you sign up for a payed membership.

No wonder people are using an Adblock program.

I notice that this 'Content Continue Below' has been troubling me. It has no significance.

Couldn't an article continued to be read without the phrase?  It must be if really interesting.
