Return of the surges?

I've had a couple of articles experience a big surge in views in the last couple of days. It's some time since that last happened. We went through a period when it happened frequently.

I thought the current surges might be caused by a Google update, but unfortunately, the views aren't coming from Google.

Any increases in views, no matter how brief or whatever their source, are welcome of course.  However, it's still no substitute for a long term lift in search engine traffic.

I see some surges, too. Most of them are Dengarden articles. I wonder it it's because the editors are concentrating on Dengarden articles pursuant to the latest Google update.....

Yes my overall views have almost doubled in the last three to four days, daily. Mind you coming off a very low base.
Plus some daily Amazon sales that I haven't seen in a long time.

Might be room for a little optimism here.

That's awesome. Optimism is good. I am happy with my overall views and Amazon, too.

As I said in the post, the source isn't Google in my case, although you're right that there's some update-related general turmoil going on due to the core update.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. So, to balance out your increases I am showing decreases. No. Please don't thank me.

Same here. I see no surges. Maybe a slight bump in total traffic the past couple days but nothing measurable. hmm

That's the case for me too generally and overall. No change.

The main surge came from MSN, which usually means the article being featured on their page. That was common for a time and then stopped. That's why I thought it worthy of mention.
