Is it ok for Hubpages Team to put a link to another article from mine?

This is not an angry outburst or something, but just the principles of the action. I was off for a long time and some of my articles have been edited by the team. I can understand that. But they have gone ahead and put links to other articles in my article. Of course, they are relevant links but without my permission. For the time being I have let the links be, and removed just one.

But is it ok for them to do this? Is this happening with other articles too. Again, not a big issue but I would rather link my other articles than an outside article.

There have been several forum posts about this topic if you want to see what others have said about it. However, when we signed up to use the site we did give HP rights to edit our articles.

Most links can be removed or replaced with links we'd rather have. There are some keyword specific links that we cannot edit (unsure if that changes legality but based on other debates I've seen in the forums it's likely okay since they are still very much around), and in those instances every mention of those certain keywords (German Shepherd for example) links to the exact same article.

The auto links bother me the most, because we can't remove or change them out. The other links I simple change or remove if an editor links to articles I do not agree with.

Interlinking was a strategy staff used to try and bring in more traffic and keep readers on the site longer.

Yeah, I understand. It gives it a Wikipedia kind of feel. More links to more Wikipedia pages. Fine.

But what's with the crazy amount of ads on each page? Anyway, I think that works too.
