Hello, My Name is Shalon and I started on  Hub pages about 6 years  ago, I wrote 2 articles and stopped due to the pressures of being a care taker to my autistic child. I wanted to get back writing again and wanted to know if there was still a 10 article minimum before a person can start earning on the platform. Any feedback will be appreciated.

It's not a ten article minimum, Shalon. It's a $50 minimum payout before funds are sent to your PayPal account. It doesn't matter how many articles you have on this format; what matters is reaching the minimum payout.

Oh ok, because when I first started they said I had to write 10.articles before I could monetize them

This is correct - you can monetise articles once you've submitted ten (quality) articles, but you only earn once they receive views. On average, it's around $2-5/1,000 views, so you'll need to see at least 50,000 views to earn your first payout in most cases.

You don't need to publish 10 articles to monetize. Once an article is published on HubPages and moved to Discover you will start earning as long as you are signed up for the HubPages Ad Program.

And, as HubPages is currently not in a good place, it may not be worth your effort. You'd need to treat it as an unpaid hobby rather than commit to trying to make money here.
