Anyone else notice a sudden boost in earnings? Is this a glitch or is HubPages coming back?

Nope. No sudden boost. Not even a slow one. Earnings aren't even worth mentioning.

Yes, earnings are up 80%  this last week. I don't expect that to last. I don't know why they bothered; I would not get your hopes up.

Maybe to deter us from leaving?

Earnings aren't coming back. I'm confident about that because they've told us they no longer believe in the HP model and have got rid of virtually all staff. They don't care if you stay or leave.

Yes. My earnings are up 80% (shrug). There is no way to determine why, as HP no longer allows us to view our stats

I’m receiving about double what I’ve been the past few months. Hard to say why. I do usually start to see an increase in earnings this time of year as it gets closer to the holidays. Then in January it crashes.

The amount I’m earning is still well below what it used to be, just want to clarify.

And as of October, the earning boost is gone for me. I’m back to the amount I was receiving after all the niche sites were dumped into Discover and the mining of articles began.

I noticed a very slight increase but nothing to get excited about. However, I did notice my Amazon earnings are still showing “pending” since Mon, Sep 22…anyone else having this issue?

Matt, can you please advise when Amazon earnings might catch up and be posted?

I have the Amazon pending issue too. Whether it will be fixed, I don't know. Everything is gradually breaking.

Does Matt still work here? He's still listed in the About Us list, but I no longer trust the info to be updated.

It appears that Amazon is now reporting.

No earnings boost and no stats update in 3 months. Also no reply from support,

Mine have increased as well, but there has also been a significant and sudden increase in ad placements within what remains of my published content on Discover.

That’s interesting. I wonder what the contracts are for these ads.

Not much different from my end. The usual drip! A cent (or thereabouts) at a time!
I’m beginning to think they just add whatever they feel like adding to daily earnings, themselves.

I wholeheartedly believe this! I also think that's why they aren't fixing the stats count. Because then we'd know how much we're being robbed. Why are they going out so sad when they've done a lot for writers all these years?

If I'm lucky, I might reach 0.50 cents this month. big_smile
So the answer is:  no boost in my earnings.

It’s also possible that seasonal factors play some part, as earnings would normally be expected to rise from September through to December, before dipping back in January. Summer is also a low period.

It’s all relative and earnings are still crappy, though.

Honestly, I'm earning way more as a seller and delivery driver than as a writer on here. There was a time where I'd earn $30-$40 per day in residuals, but those days are long gone. I'm disappointed about it. The glory days are gone. I wish I knew how I could earn some income as a writer, as I have a vested in Fitness and Gaming. Any talents or efforts seem to be wasted here unfortunately.

Yes, writing talent has been a waste of time on this platform for about five years now, ever since The Arena Group took over.

I think many writers are moving their content and hard work to other sites.
