Naturally I would like to earn money for writing but I rather enjoy writing so it does not neccesarily bother me if I do not. My thing, though, is I'm confused about the whole URL thing. When signing up, it tells me to list my primary URL. Does that mean that every time I publish a hub I have to set up a new AdSense account for that? Somehow I think I am wrong about that thus the reason I am asking for help. I can write, as with all authors I have room for improvement, but I'm not the most technologically advanced!
no, you only have to apply once. And I could be mistaken, but when applying through HubPages, you should use your profile page url. Once accepted into the program, all you have to do is enter your AdSense publisher ID in your affiliate settings and it works for all of your hubs.
You only need to signup for Google AdSense once. In fact, they will only allow you to have a single account. From what I can tell, it appears that you started the sign up process a few weeks ago, but haven't completed it yet. The 'Pending' status means that you you haven't approved the association of your account with HubPages (you should have received an email asking you to click on a link). If you can sign in to your AdSense account, you may be able to "enable access" for Hubpages on the account access page. That should be all you need to do, once it says "Active" you are all set.
I don't recall ever getting an email, if I can't sign in, then what?
It's telling me that I already have an account set up but I don't remember the password so I requested a reset and have not gotten that email either.
Another question...In December I received notice that my account rolled over to zero because I exceeded the payment amount. My payment went on hold since I did not have payment information set up...Now as we approach March I have not received anything so I am wondering if payment only applies if your account is not in pending status??? I thought it would have rolled forward
Check your Spam folder/settings to make sure the emails from Google aren't being blocked.
Thank you but I did that already and it's not there either...maybe it just takes them a while.
Strange, those automated emails are usually pretty quick. Do you have a different email account that you might have signed up with?
Maybe you created a new Gmail account at the same time and used that account for your AdSense application?
Chaotic, are you sure that you weren't required to have another account just for adsense? When I joined hubpages I used one gmail account. When I applied for adsense, I wanted to use the same gmail account and it wouldn't let me, so I had to use another email account. Which actually makes the whole thing easier for me in the end.
Google makes it so you can sign in to everything from one Google account ID, there should be no problem with using your gmail account for adsense.
When I signed up I listed one of my hubs as the primary URL.
List your profile page as your primary URL.
Thanks,
Jyoti Kothari
Well it's the next day and still no email. I only have two email accounts and I checked both inboxes and spam folders. For some reason I am not getting the emails. I guess I will try it again and see if I'm just not missing something. Thank you all for your suggestions and advice.
Okay, it has been a few days and I have repeated the process several times with both accounts and still have not received a confirmation e-mail for adsense. Can anyone please tell me what I am doin wrong? At this point I am sure it is me, I just cannot seem to figure this one out!
Adsense will take a few days to accept your application, spamming them wont help!
I am not trying to spam them but I certainly do appreciate you letting me know it takes a bit....I was not previously aware that they would not accept right away....Thank you thisisoli!

Just for a bit of background - I have been writing online for years, and literally have millions of words "out there". Only once did I have an AdSense account, and if I remember correctly, it was for a blog that is rarely used. It still appears, if I right-click on the blog, and view the...

Yesterday, when I went to check my adsense account, the google site kept telling me to sign up for a new account--didn't recognize that I already had one. There is no place to sign in either. And google adsense help wasn't helpful either. Same thing happened whether I tried to access...

Hi, I am trying to apply for adsense, but I am running into problems. I tried to create a new gmail account (my school also uses gmail, but I didn't want to use my school email address for this), but it thinks that the new email address is somehow associated with my college account and tells me to...
