I have decided to try yeild build out 10 of my own websites to compare it to the my manually optimized websites.
This is going to take a bit of time to set up, however I am looking forward to finding out whether or not Yeild Build is worth using.
But has anyone else used Yeild Build on their own websites? and what were your experiences?
I have one site testing yieldbuild, its a WP site with thesis, so adding yieldbuild took all of 3 minutes.
The site is so underdeveloped its not even funny yet somehow it has a 4% CTR.
It will be a few months before I can really judge if its any better than my own optimization style.
Ahh I might ask you in a few months how it's going then since it seems we will be on similar timescales.
My first install of yeild build I took as an opportunity to upgrade an old wordpress install (About 4 years old) Which I have been meaning to do for a long time, which has meant struggling with format issues, the wordpress white screen of death, missing side bars and the like.
I actually had forgotten how much I enjoyed playing with wordpress even when it is doing everything in it's power not to work.
At any rate I will be sorting out the advertisements tonight!
The only website I'm involved with that uses YieldBuild is HubPages and whatever they're doing, I'm very satisfied with it.
The yield build adds are up and running, and I have just realized I mis-spelt it in the title of this thread
Nevertheless will have some stats through soon I hope!
YieldBuild has tripled my website's Adsense income!
I must admit though, if I'd had put my ads in the right places to start with then maybe the site would have made more money.
I'm still less than 50% through the Yield Build training mode, so I don't know if I'll get some good stats at the end.
I've also increased revenue on my other site substantially by putting ads in the text above the fold, rather than in the side bar. This site is database driven so that was a 5 minute job to implement.
thisisoli - I am still learning the basics about hubbing so I cant help - but I will take this opportunity to say hello and wish you well with your work
I tried it on one of my websites and it certainly increased the CTR to around 4-5%. The only problem I had was getting support with the technical aspects - I basically didn't get any, and so I took it off.
I have just remembered that one of the Official Hub people - Paul Edmunson? check that spelling - actually invented YieldBuild - I am sure I read that in his profile - he is also a hubber - why not ask him what the benifits are? I am sure he would be happy to help
I'm satisfied with it, but only thing that i need from it is color selection for ads. dark color ads needs to be minimized for my site and as the process is in 50% i don't think it is learning about it.
I think it would be good if there was a forum attached so that users could help each other with it.
That sounds like a top idea Oli I'd love to get back to using it if only I could get some proper help with it!
Interesting, I didn't know you could put yieldbuild on ordinary websites, I thought they were only on offer to the megasites (newspapers etc).
Do i not violate google adsense when i use yieldbuild with adsense?
How many days before I will be able to see reports from my site?
ahem, within 24 hours it starts reporting about impression & clicks. Other reporting areas take more time than that.
Thanks. But its almost 24 hours since I've set it up. Maybe I have to wait more.
I'm still on training mode after 30,000 impressions - I think it's meant for larger sites!
It has got me focussed on putting my ads in better places though.
I'm having troubles with statistics on yieldbuild too, it is showing my daily earnings, but nothing else is appearing.
It does say they installed a nw statistics server a few days ago, so i am giving thema little time, if things dont show up soon I am going to pass them an e-mail before I implement yieldbuild across further sites.
Yeah training mode is 60,000 to 100,000 impressions, however it uses that time to test a whole range of variables to give you teh best possible ad optimization.
I am also looking forward to using YieldBuilds coding options, since on my vegan website I get lots of adverts for Chicken Curry and lamb roast etc, it would be nice (and profitable) if I could limit my adverts on this site to Vegan only options!
I got an email from tehir tech support saying it was fixed last night, not checked yet though!
Still not working, but, it has not updated yesterdays stats yet. Hope it picks up soon, a stats junkie like me needs their daily fix!
I'm really happy with yeilbuild. It's working and doing a great job on my site.

I love hubpages, but I would also like to buy an easy to use all inclusive to build website at a not too expensive price. I want something easy to build. Any suggestions?

Has this happened to anyone else? My hub was flagged as duplicate content because someone on wordpress copied and pasted the hub I wrote into their blog.So frustrated! I hope this isn't a common occurrence. I am shocked that it happened to my first hub ever.

I found some of my content copied on anothe site. I put the URL into the WHOIS site to find out the information. How do I find the email address of the domain registrant? If it isn't obviously listed there, does that mean that information isn't available? The site that has...
