Hello!
I am new here, and have made some really cool friends...but I'm lacking in money So what is the scoop here? Do you really make money? I have had people tell me that they make good money here, but where? How do you know if you do? HELP! Starving writer, must EAT!
lol
Hi Erinn, welcome to hubpages:) I used to have the same problem your having!!!
Firstly..make sure you have the correct AdSense for "content"code placed in your hubpage affiliates settings account..! This helps as many people have made the mistake of not having correct code...
If above is correct you will make money here..Fact! You just need to write well and write often and "high hub scores" helps which will get you lots of traffic from the search engines, this will increase revenue....
If your writing lots of hubs and they are low scoring hubs, they will get traffic but not as much..You can always add content and re-edit to increase a hubs score. If you cannot increase hub score, submitting your hubs to all the top "Social Bookmarking" sites helps...
Leaving links to your hubs or hubpage profile page at your "Social Networking sites" help bring in more traffic which equals more earnings.
Rome was not built in a day and if you can enjoy building Rome it will be worth it..
good luck!
Hi Erin,
Many people make money here from ads in their hubpages and affiliate links. If you noticed, many have google ads, amazon and ebay links. You will need to sign up with google for them to place ads on your pages and you will need to sign up with amazon and ebay as an affiliate.
Google place their own ads on your pages while you need to place amazon and ebay products on your pages yourself. When people click on these and buy, the writer gets a commission. However, it could take a long time and a lot of good pages to earn a substantial amount to support yourself since the commission is small for most items.
What other people also do is link their hubpage to a webstore/website which they hope other people will be interested enough to visit. Be careful though, you can't have more than two links to any one site.
My hubpage "how to create a successful website" might help you. Writers like you talk about how they make money online in the videos that are there.
I'm pretty new here, but my daughter's been telling me about this place. She's been doing fairly well, but she's been here several months. I guess the money comes with more hubs and a longer stay.
I hope you have signed up for the affiliate programs.
Welcome to HubPages.
Best Regards
I signed up for Ad Sense and reveiced an email stating that I was 'in' but whenever I try to view my Ad Sense info my log in info is rejected - and when I try to resign in it says Ive already signed up. Anybody? help?
There are instructions for reseting your password and more general signin problems in the adsense help pages. Hopefully they will help get it sorted out.
Go and get some backlinks which in turn should ultimately lead to more traffic which in turn should increase the amount of money you make. No charge for this advice!

What with all the "how much money can you make here?" questions. I have decided to share some of my own experiences. Clearly there are higher paying pages than others, but as far as adsense goes, these are my three highest earning hubs this month:http://hubpages.com/hub/Foreclosure-Lis...

How many of you are happy just to write and have never made and money? How long have you been writing here?

I can see contextual advertising being a source of income but wouldn't think that hubs would be making a lot of revenue from ebay and amazon. If people are really making money then perhaps I'll give it a try.

I have just started, so I dont expect it in the near future, but how many hubs, or how many months before you start making money? How much traffic is considered to be good traffic? Right now I am getting about an average of 75 hits per day on 4 hubs. Is that good? What...
