I am irate yet again. Another of my hubs has been copied on another site. Some limauais news has copied it on their site. The darn thieves even used my pics as well.
Anyway what I was going to ask you guys is for advice on approaching this. HP have told me they cannot locate a mailing address on that site to file my DMCA to. I couldn't see it anywhere either. I cannot even leave a comment on the story to tell them if they don't remove it I am going to sling their butts high and low.
HP's suggested I could try Whois or write a letter to Google Adsense, however I have never done this before, I was hoping some-one who has been in the same situation could tell me which way is best to go from here. If any-one has complained through Adsense what channel do I go through there, etc.
From a very cranky nurse BP.
Damn that sux BP. Ive had some people copy blog posts of mine so i know what it feels like. As for what you can do i cant offer much advice unfortunately. But i think google knows what is the original content most of the time. I wouldnt give it too much attention if i were you. Dont give them the satisfaction!
Good morning Ruan yes I know where you are coming from. I had two copied in August last year, they are still up on the site. I gave up lol.
I hate these dodgy websites which offer no email address for the website or are so spammy, you are scared to stay on their longer than 5 min.
Unless some-one is flattering you, as well as courting you with a kilo of prawns ROFL.
LMAO Politics when you look at it that way I guess you are right.
This is what I do.... http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Deal-With-Plagiarism
Hope that helps
Dammit BP! You gotta stop finding where I copy them!
No seriously, that sucks BP! ((HUGS))
You just tell me who this person is (crack knuckles) and I'll knock their brains out!!
Haha Dre you going to take your knuckle busters. I am coming with you. I will wear my boots with spurs.
Just shows you got to stay positive and happy even when things like this happen.
With the domain name in hand its usually not to hard to figure out who is hosting the web site. I would go complain to them. Any reputable web host is going to have a rule in their TOS against copyright infringement.
Getting their host to enforce their TOS against their own customer would probably be the easiest approach since you have no way to contact this person.
This is what I would do.
Post the domain name and I'll attempt to figure it out.
Thank-you my webs I went straight to the site first up.
However there is nothing there at all, with a contact or email or any-thing on this site.Hubpages also said they cannot locate anything. So there is no way I can complain there. It seems to have some pretty saucy content on there as well, I don't know how safe it is.
Post the domain name here, in plain text, or site email it to me and I'll try and figure it out. Normally its not too hard if you know how. Often a trace route or looking at NS, Name Servers, information in the A records will reveal who the host is.
Best not to give them a free backlink buddy...
PS. Vegas.... Jealous

Hi Iounn, thanks heaps I guess we can only do our best. Gee some people in this world are so un-original aren't they?
Here's what I wrote about defending your copyright,

If by chance Hostgator does nothing you can then go to hostgator.com's web hosting provider which is theplanet.com
I doubt this will happen though.

My Hub may have been copied on another siteNot only one hub but three hubs at the same time. I get early warning by the administrator. It said the warning is only visible to me. What should I do? My friends, do you have experience related with this case.

Last year 2Patricias published a hub which we called 'Choosing a Handbag'. A few weeks ago we renamed kt 'Buying a Handbag'.When we signed in today, we had a 'flag' on our account showing that this hub has been copied. The content of our Hub now appears on a Chinese site that sells...

Got my first notices of copied content and sure enough, two are on flixya.com, one on a Menopause site, and one on a Wordpress site. I wouldn't care, only the first three are earning Google Adsense. Even then I wouldn't care, but it is always alarming to think that someone might come...
