nothing explicit at all. i just like Victorian erotica, so have been wanting to write a hub about it, but not if it will get my Adsense taken away for life. the hub would itself be a fictional erotic story told in a Victorian sort of way, but would not contain any sexual words or activity...it would just sort of allude to it. but if even that is dangerous, i would like to know.
if one of the HubPages staff could let me know, i would appreciate it. thanks very much.
Hey cosette,
It is sort of tricky answering this without reading the hub, as you can imagine. I'm a fan of Victorian fiction myself, so I think I know what you mean, but without reading the content it is basically impossible for me to tell you whether or not it will be any trouble.
Here are my thoughts. We do not allow anything that graphically describes sexual acts (which I figure you already knew, but I should say it anyway just in case). Even in a figurative, non-literal sense, we do not allow writing that involves rape, bestiality, etc., or anything that involves characters under the age of 18.
My advice is to email us at team@hubpages.com when you have finished it with a link to the unpublished, completed version. I know that is an unsatisfying answer, but I'll say that I'm fairly certain that it won't be a problem.
WEll even if you don't post it here I would love to read it.
Maybe not, but you could write me an erotic email
NOT WORTH THE RISK DUDE THERES OTHER SITES OUT THERE WITHOUT OUR RULES...WE STAY CONSERVATIVE...LETS KEEP IT THAT WAY...COURSE iM OLDDDDDDD DUDE 57 WHAT DO I KNOW ASK PAUL DEEDS
thank you i will, definitely. i should have thought of that. it will be a while before i write it, but when i do i will do as you advised. thanks again
You could possibly turn off all ads on the hub in question to prevent breaking Adsense TOS,but like norah says probably best to seek advice from the team at hubpages.
Hi Cosette! My first couple of Hubs had quite a few sexual conotations -- there was even a sex scene in one. But it's all very tongue in cheek, and much is left to the imagination. Anyway, it did me no harm
Hope you write your story -- I'd look forward to reading it.
omg haha...'tongue in cheek' sounds naughty
thank you Camlo. i haven't had time to turn around but one of these days, i will write it. it's too nice out to stay inside on the weekend!
anyway i will stop by and look at your hubs.
cosette - if I remember correctly you were one of the tiny number of Hubbers complaining about my errotic hubs - have you finally decided to catch yourself on and allow people to have free expression - Wow what a change - if you need any inside information about good sex let me know.
For your information I am not a sock puppet - I am a human being and I have feelings.
i don't know who you are, yet you insert yourself into a non-fighting thread and immediately accuse me of something i did not do.
with no proof, i might add.
yet you say you have feelings.
riiight....
post a link where i attacked your hubs as being sexual. that is a lie.
you have accused me of being a liar and a sock puppet - I suppose the next thing you will pull my hair.
Please do write an errotic hub, as long as it is not toooooo graphic, good luck with that and look forward to reading it
i know how to write erotica.
good erotica. and part of that skill requires that you be able to write it in such a way that you excite your readers while at the same time respecting the TOS of the site you write on. i have never put any of it online, but since i like Victorian erotica so much, i thought i would write a hub about it. thanks, Irish.
I would ask yourself why you want to write erotica on Hubpages. The protestant spirit is strong here. If I see any sex related hub I fall back in horror, in the same way I always look away during a Hollywood sex scene. (Only the French can do sex in movies because they actually keep the person in frame, but just the body parts.)
I believe you need to attach pictures for it to be accepted

Did you come across any Hubber - especially someone less well-known - that you find interesting? If so, please introduce them here by writing a review.Take your time, make a little effort. Remember, this is also your opportunity to show off your own writing skills.

Do you follow hubbers without reading their writing first? If so how do you decide to follow them? On what criteria do you base their worthiness to be followed by you? There could be obvious answers but each individual can answer for themself.

Do you ever comment on a hub without reading it first? And does anyone read this part of the questions? It seems that people only read the titles of this website then comment spam everyone else.

Reading more then yapping I ran across a fantastic hub that tells the other side of drug addiction. Cosette has gone through so much growing up I felt that this hub had to be shared! Please read it and let her know how you feel about it, she was a child dealing with addictive parents....

Ladies & gentlemen, due to circumstances beyond my control, I regret to inform you that this will be my last 'cool hubbers' hub. Some individuals feel that these hubs are being unfair to people who are not featured, which is unfortunate, as my intentions were positive and in no way meant to...
