Help me fellow hubbers! When I try to upload a photo to my hub (even really small files) all I get is the 'uploading' message but the photo never actually uploads. I have only started experiencing this since yesterday and have never had a problem before.
I have tried this now on two consecutive days and on two different PCs but with no joy. Am I alone with this problem? What do I need to do to fix it?
The good news (maybe the only good news) is that you are not alone, far from it.
You may want to see if importing pictures from the Internet works better than uploading from your computer. That is my preferred method, and I have had no insurmountable problems, but that is only a wild guess. Otherwise, please check this forum thread, just one of multiple recent discussions:
You are welcome. There was a whole buffet of advice, and some of it even worked; how nice!
I cannot type in text capsules now
any clue whats up?
i can do pics and type n post in forums but text capsules in brand new hubs seem to be screwed up
I suggest trying a different browser, like Firefox or Google Chrome, this often makes a difference.
The trouble is probably here with the site, not with your computer. Very similar to the trouble with images. Still, it is a fact that some browsers tend to respond better than do others. I suggest trying Google Chrome. If you don't want to install it, you can get the portable version from www.portableapps.com.
Also, be sure to try all the usual solutions, like clearing cache, logging off et cetera - all workarounds, since the problem is on the site. It should be working, but isn't, so it is up to you to either wait or find a workaround.

I know traffic is a problem everywhere it seems; I'm not talking about low traffic, here. We all need to be aware of the HP's photo capsule may be affecting our bounce rates. There is a real problem if you use the photo capsule for anything-- even the intro photo. I'm NOT referring to the images...

I realize there is another thread on this issue, but it is now a week old, so that's why I'm starting a new one. Yesterday, for the first time, I was unable to upload photos using Google Chrome. I cleared the browser cache and made sure my version was the latest one. I have no trouble uploading...

Folks, yesterday I was trying to upload some images onto an existing hub. It had been imported from Squidoo, and in the original Lens, I had used links to images on my personal web site, which apparently HubPages doesn't support. I succeeded in uploading one image to replace an imported image, and...

I found it very hard to work with it, almost impossible. As before I clicked on Computer, press Browse, and had the picture. had all my uploaded pictures there and pressed to uploade it. Now I can't get into my picture file. I can't download all the pictures for my hubs about a country.

Thank you to everyone who reported problems with the photo capsule. A new release just went out that fixed a big issue with Internet Explorer that was causing all kinds of problems and understandable stress for a number of users. I apologize for this, especially because it took so long to track it...

I have uploaded many images for my content, yet none seem to display with the story. Why? It indicated that all did upload OK. What is the reason? is there a delay?Perrya
