One more thing - do all the photographs on your hub have to be ones you've taken yourself?

No, but you need to have permission to use them.  There are lots of sites that have copyright-free photos you can use. I use a  lot of photos from Wikimedia Commons.

Even on Wikimedia Commons, there are some photos where you have to give credit to the original photographer.  Scroll down on the Wikimedia page to check.

All photos on the internet are copyright unless they say otherwise.  Royalty-free photos aren't free.  If you see a watermarked photo on a photography site, you have to buy it before you can use it.

What you're looking for are Creative Commons photos, which are free to use provided you thank the photographer in your Hub (it's nice to give them a hyperlink).  You'll find lots by doing an Advanced Search on Flickr.com and ticking "Creative Commons" and "for commercial use".
