If you stop following someone, does it delete any fanmail you've left for them?
The fan mail will be gone, as will any trace of you ever having followed them.
You can only de-fan hubbers one at a time. You can do so by visiting their profile pages or from your control panel.

Sometime ago someone said it is a pleasant courtesy to follow whoever is following you; since then I adopted same as good practice. So when I follow someone I expect the person to reciprocate out of same courtesy.
