I was just out for some nice saturday morning time at the park. I took my camera and took some pics. I was wondering is it okay to post my pics on a hubpages if it has peoples faces in them? I don't know them and they are not the focus of the pictures. Or do I have to have consent from everyone in each picture. No children are in any of the pics, and the focus is on other things they just happen to be in the pictures.
It's your picture, you took it in a public place. I don't think I'd worry too much about it if I were you. What really sucks is that we live in such a litigious society that people actually have to be concerned about this stuff. Goes to show how far our culture has strayed from common sense.
Diane, if you sell your photos as royalty-free images and use them for commercial purposes (such as selling a product with the image on it), then you need model releases if they show people.
If you use the photos in your blogs/articles for editorial/educational uses, they are permitted. I have some people's images in my hubs too.
You can also resize the images and so on (in editing software) to make peope uncognizable. Hope it helps.

Two of my hubs have been unpublished for using watermarked/pixelated pics. I was wondering, what should I do to avoid this scenario in future? Where should I go to get pics for my hubs?
