Anyone having trouble with very slow connection to hubpages?
It is timing out on me, and has been for hours. I retry 3 or 4 times and it works, but it seems to be very slow.
Thank you Lorlie. Maybe BP dug up the cable to Australia.
Maybe that's what happened EarnestHub! HubPages is working fine here in Vietnam!
Nah... It's that bloody Rolf Harris again trying to go down on his kangeroo again... On Webcam!
- Oops I mean tie down
Earnest I have been on since about 9pm tonight on HP and have not had any difficulties mate (So this at least gives you an idea that its not affecting all of Melbourne)
Yet if it is not ISP issues (you would know by all other browsed sites performing as slow as HubPages) I would recommend the following
# Delete your browser cache
# Delete temporary files on your Windows
# download CCleaner and this will help get rid of of all the temp clutter and other useless junk on your PC.
When you get time, run a defrag on your PC as well, best to run this process over night....let me know how ya go with it all.

I know there's been an update on Google that has cut Hubpages traffic by 20% across the board but I noticed on all of my popular hubs that Google and Bing haven't crawled them in 10 days! Is this normal? Or has Google just stopped featuring our pages in the search results?

I'm having a wade though Google Webmaster Tools and under crawl errors there were about 20 urls not found and about 60 restricted by robot.txt.Is this very damaging and would I be able to make any necessary changes?

This is a question to all the veterans out there. What is the thing you regret not knowing in the beginning here? What would be your best tip for newbies?

Why does a hermit crab crawl out of its shell to die?I went out to freshen the water and food and he was outside of his shell. I take good care of him and I was surprised to see him there like that. Not sure their life-span is very long, but it was still weird to see him just laying there, all...

HubPages is a Ning site? Look at the bottom right in the footer...It looks like someone deleted some of the code that hid the fact that this has been a Ning site all along.I thought HubPages was its own platform, built from the bottom up by its creators, not running someone else's...
