Last night I made some groups for my hubs and assigned them. This morning when I pulled up my profile, the hubs weren't even close to the way I assigned them, and the groups I made aren't the groups hub pages put them in. Hub pages seems to assign them to groups based on their categories instead of the group names that I made and assigned to them.
Is there anything I can do about this, other than change their hub pages categories? Right now, with the way hub pages assigned them, they look kinda discombobulated.
Groups are just for your own organization within your overall total of Hubs, and have nothing to do with HubPages categories. Rearrange your groups however you wish.
Yeah, I know...I just thought that the groups that I made would be the ones displayed on my profile page instead of the Hub Pages categories. Otherwise I don't understand what the purpose of organizing the groups would be.
They are different, your hub profile uses catagories. Groups are for personal organization and can be displayed at the bottom of your hub.
The grouping in your hub profile page would reflect how you originally set up (what category, subcategory) your hubs in so they autoload into that category.
Groups as people have mentioned above are just for our organization purposes and so we can find them if need be.
Sometimes if you have a lot, it helps to organize them the way that you categorized them originally - to avoid confusion. I seem to be prone to that - between being blond and being old! Good luck!!!

Hi, all,For the life of me I cannot figure out how to add my "orphaned" hubs to groups and/or categories. The Help doesn't include anything about this. Can you tell me how it's done in a clear, step-by-step procedure? I'm easily confused! ;o)Thanks,Ellen

I established Groups and moved my existing (completed) hubs into appropriate groups. I understand that some of my hubs will show at the bottom of the screen for a hub from the same group. However, I believe that categorizing hubs into groups with the same or similar theme/overall topic ON THE...

Hi- I've been unable to find the answer to this. Maybe it's already answered, but unfortunately, I don't have hours available to sort through thousands of posts searching. In creating "groups," I have sorted all my items, but it would be really nice if when viewing the...

I notice that some profile pages have the hub categories listed under the main hub listing (with the arrows). How do you do that? I have my hubs all assigned to groups under my account, but I don't see how to put them on the profile page.

I just put my hubs into 3 groups on my account page and it works there, but the groups do not show up on my Profile page. Is it only viewible to others? Or did I have to do something different on mt profile page to make them show up?

When do hubs get grouped together?I thought that once you published fifteen hubs, HubPages automatically grouped hubs together - at least that's what I was told when I asked this question before. But even though I have several hubs in the same category, I don't have any groups showing up on my...
