Is adding a RSS feed a bad idea?

I tend to follow the "no more than 2 links to a outsite website" rule. But when I also add a RSS feed to that same site I end up with another 3 links to that same website.

Would it be better if I removed the RSS feed altogehter?

No...it is definitely not a bad idea to add RSS feeds. I think it makes things more relevant. And it never occurred to me that RSS would lead to us breaking the rule...

Me neither, which is why I enquired.  I see RSSfeeds are a package of accummulated links, so it would make sense to think in terms of links.  And, I agree with lilian_sg that it cant hurt you.

(Although Matt Cutts of Google has stated that Google bots do not like repackaged old content placed in new rss feeds.  They will not count them as backlinks.)
