I'm trying to make my first hub, but it keeps telling me 'Please use only letters, numbers, underscores, and dashes in the web address for your hub'
What am I doing wrong?
Don't type in the http://hubpages.com/hub/
You just need to add the second part of the url which is normally the same as your hub title e.g.
A title of "How to Write a Hub" automatically turns into how-to-write-a-hub and is added to the first part of the url.
I hope that makes sense!
if you are trying to write your website address its not going to work, i think you made another post on it. check that
Welcome to HubPages!
You cannot enter URLs directly into the title of a hub.
The "title" becomes your URL for your hub that you are about to write. You can put your URL inside the hub somewhere else, but not the title.

I just published a new article called "Interesting Guns in Gaming". Unfortunately, the web address for this article used the original name of the article "Top Three Guns in Gaming". Do I have to do something before publishing?

If I revise my hub, how do I change the URL so it matches the title?

When you edit your hub title and content with the intention of boosting traffic of a dozing hub, should you also edit the url? It has the old title. What is being re-indexed - the new hub title or the url? If it's the same url, your editing is for naught, correct? Or am I confused (as usual)?

I have checked a few of my articles over the course of a week, not all of them but most of the popular ones, and I noticed that when I put them in Google search they only show up through another link such as Pinterest or Twitter. They seem to have totally disappeared apart from that. Any help you...
